Bilateral (Two) Vocal cord Paralysis

(Common causes :- Bulbar neuritis (viral), Thyroid operations, Injuries neck etc

Symptoms :- Inspiratory stidor or noisy breathing during sleep, breathlessness on     Exertion  necessitating tracheostomy. (Airway Bypass) and huskvoice 
Treatment :-  Early intervention to save life in some cases needs emergency Air way Bipass or Tracheostomy but Laser Assisted posterior cordotomy and partial medial arytenoidectomy  results in comfortable breathing with acceptable voice

 

Results:- 99% cases are successful in our hands in restoring both airway and voice in about  100 cases since 2000
